FOP Toy Drive

The Fraternal Order  of Police toy drive is now going on.  Drop boxes for new toys at located at the Hamblen County Courthouse, Hamblen County Justice Center, Dollar General Store-East A J Highway., Buffalo Trail, South Cumberland and Talbott.  Please help provide new toys for some children in need.

In order to better inform the households of Hamblen County, the Hamblen County Garbage Department has released updated guidance on bulk waste and other garbage disposal. Please click to view this short document, which should answer most questions that may come up regarding garbage, recycling, brush, and bulk waste pickup.

Christmas Holidays Garbage Collection

County Garbage Collection for Christmas Holidays

For the week of December 22^nd – December 26^th, 2025, please place your garbage & recycling roadside by 6:00am on Monday, December 22^nd, 2025 no matter your normal collection day. Please leave cans roadside until emptied.

Please place all cans with the handle toward the house and at least 4 feet from any obstacles, including recycling or other garbage cans.

HAMBLEN COUNTY HEALTH COUNCIL MEETING

The Hamblen County Health Council will meet on January 7, 2026 at 12:00 noon at the Hamblen County Health Department located at 331 W. Main St, Morristown, TN 37814.

Garbage Can Reminders

As Hamblen County begins to use the Automated Side-Loader trucks to pick up garbage, please remember these points when setting out your garbage for collection:

• Drivers will no longer able to physically handle cans
• Cans must be at the roadside by 6:00am on the scheduled pick-up day
• Use only the county-supplied containers
• All cans must be placed with the HANDLE TOWARD THE HOUSE
• Leave 4 feet between the can and other obstructions
